Banchan Workshop is a casual and fun gathering to learn Korean home-cooking skills. Class sizes are small where we gather around the kitchen to cook and feast together. Each workshop has overall theme for the menu. We have hosted Pantry & Banchan, Rice & Noodle, Kimchi and Korean Street Food to name a few. Currently workshops are happening once a month, usually happening last weekend of the month. Classes are held in Oakland or San Francisco test kitchen locations. We also host small pop-ups to bring like-minded community to share our passion in Korean culture and food. Interested in attending one of our upcoming workshop/pop-up? Where do I start? Our workshop was so much fun and not to mention full with amazing dishes that we all took part in creating before we feasted at the end for our labor of love. Selina designed a great menu for us all to learn and enjoy. She even provided us all with a thoughtful compilation of recipes from her dishes in all her classes! _Stephanie C.
Selina and her staff made the event fantastic. Not only did we have a wonderful venue to cook in, we all had different tasks which led to a variety of dishes on the menu. The ingredients were fresh and organic (thanks to Whole Foods) and you could tell how hard Selina worked to make this event happen. There was a lot of attention to detail and the results led to a great gathering of learning more about Korean cuisine and having fun cooking and eating together! Had a very fun time making kimchi with Selina! The location was comfortable and accommodating, and everything was delicious. I especially loved that we got to take our kimchi home in cute little jars, which Selina provided. It was really sweet that her mom was so involved, sharing her kitchen wisdom. Thanks! _Gabrielle S.
